"when we were building the sound in the 70s most of the sounds in that era were called Lords ,Dukes , Kings , Sirs , Counts , all names of prestige , so thats how we decided on our name Baron . it was orginally called Baron hi-fi in the days of the big waldrobe sized double 18s , but we changed it to turbo when we built 20 18inch scoops.

i have about 60 Baron tapes , lots of them are just regular dance tapes ,
most of the tapes are from the mid eightys , got my flat robbed when i was younger and lost all the 70s tapes that was the era when we were a real clash sound ( you know young and fearless , clashing with the big established giants of that era , showing no respect ) ."
