I don't know if anyone can help, but I remember in my teens, listening to a Saxon tape, which featured mainly Asher and Smiley with Levi doing a cameo role. I'm not referring to the one where they're in Nottingham, I've already got that. All I remember about that tape is Smiley absolutely tearing up the dance with style after style (Asher and Levi also playing a part too, and Levi doing the Bonnie and Clyde lyrics).
I'm 45 now, and I remember listening to it when I was about 14 or 15, and I still can't forget it... for me personally Levi was (and still is) the Master, the burial king, the man who was never afraid to take on a whole sound... Tippa was wicked, especially one time at Stonebridge Park, I think they were up against Diamonds, and Levi didn't turn up, but Tippa wasn't afraid to deal with tings, and that day he went up in my estimations...Sandy, Colonel and Rusty, were good also. But Asher and Smiley (for me personally, and I know most may disagree, and that's cool), took lyrics and style to another level... Shan a shan, lyrics grandad, will stay will me forever.
So if anyone remember or has this session, I would love to hear it again...
