The following are a bit like rules- if you don't follow them I'll ask you to and if you keep not following them you may be banned. Please ask if there is anything you don't understand.

Please do

• Preserve the sound quality as best we can by ripping tapes in a decent bitrate- 192 or higher please.
  

• Keep links alive as long as possible by using an uploader who's links are known to last such as divshare
  

• Give details with your posts. In the heading/ title stick the the format of 1 Sound name, v if a clash or l/s if two sounds in combination (colon), 2 the venue, 3 and then the date written out full, like this:
  Baron Turbo Charge v Saxon Studio: Venn St, Huddersfield. 30th July 1989
  This is to keep the forum neat and easy to read/ understand.
  

• When you post a tape point it out at the What's New At Soundtapes.com? forum
  

• Contribute a few things to the site within a week or so of joining so we can sort out your status- we only want members with Valued Contributor Status!
  

Please don't

• Upload one tape and download 50 or join and then take a load of tapes before you've contributed at all. A ratio of 1 upload to about 20 downloads is suggested.
  

• Upload anything with a copyright- so no LPs or officially released compilations.
  

• Use any offensive language.
  

• Steal links or cut and paste things from elsewhere on the net without the permission of the original uploader (just download it and then reupload it yourself), or if information just make sure you credit it.
  

• Take links from here and post them elsewhere on the net (unless it is something you uploaded, in which case of course you post it where you like).
  

• Use passwords (just because I can't stand them).

I have ripped in a high bitrate- 224 and stated that, along with how long the mp3 is and what size it is, with the download link. I have included a photo (using photobucket.com), and information sourced (and creditted) from elsewhere.

ive posted 2 sturgavs without reading what you do when you upload so i think the link wont be hidden what shall i do i also cannot find them on the board

ive posted a jaro aswell but im still having trouble hiding the link i clicked on edit and saw where you put hide before and after the link do you write it yourself after you posted the link ive done that but when i sent it nothing has changed the link is still visable aint got a clue help

you can still see the link but it should look smaller, but other will not see it till they post thanks in the thread

yes it worked fine thanks mate. I added punctuation to the title just to keep the place looking neat. also you should signpost new drops in the What's New Section
