Nuff respect to Ruffhouse for this rare tape! He told us: "Dread Diamonds were an original Brixton roughneck sound! Owned and played by Victor D. The sound was originally owned by his brother and was called red diamonds. Dread Diamonds mostly played around the Brixton area in the early '80s' with dj's like Ranking T, Ritchie Ranking, Ukey, Horseman. Those were the days when man wore tracksuits with the name of the sound they was in on the back!!! In 1985 they rebuilt and came back on the road playing London wide with a good set of dj's and singers."
