Oh right- never really lookd at it like that as late 70s- early 80s is when most of the tunes came out. I saw late 70s as the disco/ soul-boy/ jazz-funk era. A thing that sometimes confuses with rare groove is what it is as well. At the time there was deep funk and some jazz-type stuff being looked at as RG, when now I see it more as a kind of med tempo funky soul, like your two-step cd shows very well |

| Yeah I see it more as a 2 step deep soul thing as well...tunes like Maxi - Lover to Lover epitomize the genre for me...I agree that it was probably more popular in the clubs over here later than it got released |
