Name's Gordon aka DJ Greedy G. Many of you know me already, for those that don't I'm 39 and I'm the reggae DJ on NE1FM 102.5 radio in Newcastle Upon Tyne, one of the UK's biggest cities. I don't have many tapes to share but I do have neverending respect for all those who have made it possible for us to hear all these great sessions and big up to Stephen and Jay for getting this place up and running!

My fave sounds are Saxon, Jammy's, Gemini, Sturgav, Jah Love and my fave artist on a sound is Papa San.

Nice work Stephen, thanks for the invite. Way, way out of my depth but I'll enjoy watching this place build and be proud to be part of it. I have, as you know, a couple of LWR recordings to donate when I get the chance. Your main problem here will be indexing, woo hoo, Best of British!

London Weekend Radio was the main pirate from around 85-87 (correct me if I'm wrong). It had Tim Westwood (I have a Westwood show from Jan 86! that I'll post soon), and of course great soul and Reggae DJs as well! was a great station and important for me at that time just getting into reggae and hip hop.

wow- you got a good memory mate! I do remember those names but was only 11 at that time. was that the same Derrick B that had a hit with a hip hop tune called Good Groove a year later and made an lp?

It was a two years before Good Groove, I think, when Full Force had Alice (I Want You Just For Me) in the charts. The album was Bullet From A Gun and it had some fair tracks on it, for the time. (BLAH, Blah, blah)

Nice correction on the spelling Stephen, you were only 11 but you got the 12" still.
