I am based in Cornwall where we have a wicked reggae scene especially in Falmouth. I have done some mixtapes of my own and will post some in due course. This site looks great and will definitely contribute so I can get some more reggae on my mac.

This looks like a really good forum, well done! I live in the real periphery of the dancehall world, Umeå in northern Sweden. I've been collecting reggae and dancehall records since the mid 90's. I got interested in tapes soon after when I purchased my first 80's dancehall album which was the Heartbeat album "Dee-Jay Explosion" recorded at Skateland. I bought quite a few of my tapes from the Supersonic crew in Germany but also a few on trips to Jamaica. I hope to enjoy even more music, alot of tunes I've come to love were first heard on tape, and f course also to contribute with some recordings!

Forum newbie here, not really had a chance to look around and kick the tires yet. I've got a bunch of old Rodigan "Roots Rockers' tapes that I will try to dig out (if not already posted here). Anyway, going to go on a quick looksee of the site and then start uploading hopefully at the weekend.

My name is Ed, 42, Enterprise Architect, based in The Netherlands. I am glad I found this site. I have been active online in the 90's with my site Dancehall Tapes Trade Center. I still have bout 800 tapes and sum video. For a longtime still a downloader (torrents, Newsgroups) but this site really gives me what I am looking for. Happy to join and share. Already started the ripping, but it takes a lot of time.
It started when I got my firsttape from Big Broad and Massive (Tony, big up!) in 93 at a festival in Tilburg. I knew what it was coz I got the Skateland vinyls from Special Request back in 1982. The first was Exodus vs Nuclear w/ Ninja 93. Been a cassette freak since then.

Favorite sounds Stone Love & Rennaisance.

Im Craig, im 42, im from Belfast in Northern Ireland and I've lived in South London since 1992. Im forward, talkative and gregarious like most Irish, but i'll break bread with anyone that has a good soul and doesnt act the arse, pretty straight forward.

Im here for one simple reason, to share some archive Hip-Hop radio from the past, both British and Stateside, and to filch some in return, naturally...

Im sick of sharing on my blog and getting minimal gratitudes, and figured you lot had a good attitude and that there may be some folk that remember the pirate days.

Im hopin to find Mike Allen and Tim Westwood from the embryonic days of Mike on Capital Radio in London and up until Westwood went to Radio One in March 1995. Mainly shows like Dave Pearce' Fresh Start to The Week, Richie Rich on Kiss, Stu Allens Bus Diss Show and Leaky Fresh on Sunset 102 from Manchester and Tim when he was on Kiss too. I have hundreds of radio shows on tape and im happy to share them, as long as people share in return

I have a couple of sound-system bits from over the years by people like the Chinese Laundry Sound System, but tbh, im far from an expert, im just hopin that some of you recall the early days of Hip-Hop in the UK and have some goodness to share
